HISTORY : Australian surgeon who lives and paints in Sydney. Jo has been painting on and off for about 20
years, mostly as a hobby. He is mainly a self-taught artist, although he has attended
quite a few painting and drawing courses over the years.
In his own words " I use mainly oils, but also dabble with gouache, acrylics and watercolor.
I enjoy painting the human figure, still life, and abstracts".
Two weeks ago I was "burnt out" and needed a recharge, so went to Orpheus
Island for a phenomenal 9 days of vegetating and painting. I did a series of
gouache paintings on magazine paper.
