You like to manage but more than this you like to experience the benefits of being a good manager. What does this mean? For Lipcrack it will require someone who’s keen to keep things moving in a positive direction as far as live performances, site visitors and sales opportunities go.
You will need a keen ear for music and have the ability to approach venues, other musical groups, businesses’s and various entertainment specialists to further the bands promotional and performance schedule. Networking from the top end down, you’ll be able to negotiate the terms and conditions of a live performance, pay rate, gifts and incentives.
You might not need to travel with the band but you aim to get the band traveling where ever and when ever an event presents itself which not only will provide the band with some friendly exposure but also gives those patrons looking for their next favorite gig the experience they were looking for.
You’ll need to be fiscally motivated because the next performance is how you’ll be covering expenses including phone calls, emails, travel and all other business related expenses. Sound like easy street maybe if you have years in the business and a network to back you up, fantastic if you do. If you are a new graduate and looking for a break well get ready for some hard work but rewarding experiences that could get you on that plane trip to the next show.
More than this you’ll have the ability to think outside the circle. Why? Because it’s a competitive industry and you are building a brand that currently does not fit in one particular box. Why is that a good thing? You’ll get to use your imagination along with various other talents that make you the right person for the position.
Feel like this is the start of something new for you? Then feel welcome to apply providing a small example of what’s going to make you the right person to manage Lipcrack.
Currently this is a hypothetical position which exists merely to determine the probability of developing all aspects of the business in conjunction with all business models available to achieve the objective of live performances of a band with limited resources.
