Welcome back for this months update. It’s been another month full of all range of surprises some good\u00a0some bad and some you just don’t want to talk about. The significant point of this months update is\u00a0business and we all know it’s tax time.<\/p>\n
Recently I had to take a look at where Lipcrack stands in the business world and as it is, we still qualify for hobby status which means that tax reporting isn’t going to effect progress too much in terms of tasks needed to be done. The interesting point though, is if things continue in the fairly positive way this month’s gone sooner or later Lipcrack will be able to consider moving to a business\u00a0base process which requires a different set of procedures as far as paperwork goes. That will only occur if income thresholds meet those requirements, at this time they do not.<\/p>\n
Currently a percentage of time is being put into the reading and development of a business plan which considers all the outcomes of testing in the market place where we have initially concentrated our musical offerings. The response has been very fair and Lipcrack has maintained a commitment to that audience on a number of grounds which will continue to be developed I’m happy to say. There are no guarantees of anything at this stage, however, as a part of the development plan which until this time has been mainly in thought process, there will be another round of promotions which will start once the initialization of the next stage of testing has been completed. The only thing I can say is it will be interesting, it’s going to take quite a while to do under current time constraints which also includes developing the new tracks.<\/p>\n
I found a planning package online and it’s one of the most concise packages I’ve experienced in terms\u00a0of all those considerations that need to be made when developing a business and have spent some time\u00a0working my way through it, however it’s eaten into track time obviously as have a range of other very important tasks that generally are required to be done as a part of everyday living.<\/p>\n
Here is a brief rundown of what I believe the outcome of this review process will be.<\/p>\n
1. A redevelopment of the web site front page to streamline current and future directions.
\n2. An update to terms and conditions that will be more site visitor friendly.
\n3. This is an obvious one but I have not had time to get round to it. A small image logo and an\u00a0address signature for correspondence. I usually just put my name on it however have for a\u00a0very long time wanted to set aside time for that task.<\/p>\n
As far as new track development for site visitors things are going reasonably well.\u00a0The following link is a sample from Rock Bottom Low and still requires drums most likely and another guitar section. It is by no means a final representation of the track but gives people a bit of an idea as to the\u00a0direction it will be taking.<\/p>\n
