I will say that personally I’m happy with how it’s turned out and lets hope any additions improve it, if it doesn’t it’s not going in it. I could suggest this track is about 2 weeks away from being completed.<\/p>\n
The business development plan, did continue in terms of sorting out required research and noting however that has definitely been post phoned until the next two tracks are completed. As it is, I’m having to jump between a range of tasks including keeping up with mail outs and there’s only so much one person can do. Again its why most groups are on record labels that do all the other tasks e.g. Organize show bookings, have artists working on poster prints and all other tasks of which there are so many if you perform at concerts not only locally but internationally as well.<\/p>\n
Oddly enough though, most record labels do have an online presence for the artists signed to their label and realistically that to a great extent is what the Lipcrack site is for, a place where those interested in hearing the music of Lipcrack can visit and be informed of the range of matters that occur in the process of developing the tracks. Again if the site ever expanded as a label we’d certainly have other artist information here, however with the range of sites like Facebook most bands do have their own ways of reaching wider audiences. <\/p>\n
I think Lipcrack maintain a reasonable band web site for the scale of development in which we exist in the music business because lets not forget it is a business and music tracks are turned over day by day on all range of music stations from radio to television and elsewhere. Possibly an interesting point that people are not aware of is that I use to work for an Internet Service Company and while I was there all range of electronic communication via computers became a day to day task. When I started looking further into the whole music scene online from the companies that create the web site software development tools to the sound engineering equipment, I JUST GOT MORE INTERESTED. And fact is from a very young age the local music scene played a very significant part in my life.<\/p>\n
That said I haven’t let one area of the whole process control any other area of the process, which is why I still think Lipcrack was such a great name for the band. No we don’t crack computers…. Well maybe if you play us really loud. It’s actually just meant to be this kind of fun spot you can go to when you feel like hearing a track. Just like any other web site with music available on it. Although as per many things currently being considered, the site could do with some change to represent how Lipcrack feel these days. . <\/p>\n
For now that’s this months update, just a short note to let people know the tracks are still in development, looking forward to finishing them and looking forward to our site visitors enjoying updates as they become available. There will probably be another take from this section on You Tube once I get back to it next week, so keep your ears out. <\/p>\n
