What a month it’s been and let me make my first exclamation, it’s also been my birthday quite recently so as you can imagine it’s been a very exciting month generally. Now, I believe some of you might like to hear the news and ongoings and there’s some fairly important issues to let people know of. <\/p>\n
1. Flash phase outs. Perhaps some of you are aware Lipcrack use the Adobe Flash application to run our front page entrance. Personally I think it’s one of the best applications on the web to provide visual interfaces but for some reason, don’t ask me why other than some “claimed” security breach, people or should I say certain browser “companies” are trying to phase it out. I did take a slight look into it and in my personal opinion is, it comes down to a few major competitors trying to do each other a disservice which ultimately will do a lot of other people a disservice and it seems very targeted in terms of who it will effect. Thing is though, I’d rather create music tracks in my limited spare time than advocate on behalf of Flash users for its continued presence and functional usage. Apparently it’s going to be phased out in 2020.<\/p>\n
I actually wanted to create a new Flash Entrance for the site and most likely still will but am very aware of some of those matters, so it might end up just being a visual page of the site where people can experience it. That’s currently undecided but what is known is that the site needs to be redeveloped for that coming event.<\/p>\n
HERE’S THE PLAN
\nI’m going to let people know I’ve had to take a huge range of “web matters” into account which I will elaborate on soon enough. For now though here is the current plan until other matters are decided.<\/p>\n
1. The application page made for mobiles will possible become the main page entrance with some slight changes, most likely.<\/p>\n
or <\/p>\n
2. The web blog might become the main site entrance with some additions to other areas. <\/p>\n
Big fact, over time it seems as though whoever can make utilizing the web for business has gone out of their way to make it more of a problem than it’s sold for the benefits of its usage. Obviously it still remains a very valuable tool but there’s a lot of business interest groups out there pulling a lot of strings and I’m fairly sure most people are aware of that.<\/p>\n
WHERE DOES THAT LEAVE LIPCRACK?<\/p>\n
Well here’s some really interesting news. A few days ago I was unable to access the main function areas of site hosting, gave it a day or two to settle, same scenario. Finally was able to contact the company today via the “Sales team” page and let them know of the problem and was given the it’s your browser answer and a basic refusal to forward the information to the technical support area, followed by the conversation on the matter disappearing via the chat application being closed. Let’s just say it wasn’t that pleasant. A month prior I also paid for another year and at that time was informed of some very high price increases in the subsequent year due to “alleged improvements”.<\/p>\n

I’m going to let people know this, about 2 weeks later, I’d already decided I’m going to move the site to a new host and basically have a year to decide where to. After the conversation today being told to use a different browser …. etc…etc, which if I can access the main sales page, I shouldn’t need a different browser to access the site hosting page, generally I made it clear to them of my intentions. It normally would not have been handled as it was because usually the professionalism required for those matters exists. It did not appear to in this case.<\/p>\n
Also as far as I’m concerned services putting up prices for all range of reasons which are not including customer improvements but maybe some back end office improvements is another great reason to move the site. I can tell you the list has been growing.<\/p>\n

What an interesting month of events huh? Surprisingly the track has been finished and I’ll have some update news on that next month. In the meantime a big thank you once again for all the people turning out for the track update mail outs. A huge thank you for everyone who’s made my birthday that little bit more fun than usual and everyone else one day you might have a Lipcrack smile.<\/p>\n
