After the recent outage of the XP computer the track development computer soon followed. Oddly enough the gear the tracks get recorded on was left functional but 90% of the other software was left non-operational.

The first draft of the first track was completed some 2 weeks ago but in the meantime, I was left with the task of deciding how to create a new EP and actually do anything – like log into banking, look for work or respond or access email. Unbelievable huh? Not really, what is, when the process of assessment began a range of matters that I haven’t experienced presented themselves. I’m going to be brief here because everything just seemed to go on and on one thing after another. And there’s plenty I haven’t mentioned, eg being locked out of the Blog. What follows is the most important.

1. The Red Dell is now missing 2 Gig of Ram – the computers system information is documented and it includes serial numbers. Currently though the mother board can’t even be accessed because it appears as though someone’s locked it with a drill bit.

The Good News – it has been updated to Vista is working well and is currently assigned to simple tasks which include accessing the web. At some stage it will have more Ram put back in it because its a powerful machine to get a multitude of tasks done. Reasons it crashes are unknown but it has been reformatted with the software that has been found most suitable for keeping it running well.

2. After all matters were assessed a new computer was purchased.
Unbelievable huh ? I can’t even believe it myself. However it has been completely installed with recording gear and is now solely assigned to that task with no internet access what so ever other than validating software that was required. The task will be moved to that computer after all other tasks have been finalized.

Now in the process of that though, it’s also come to my attention that possibly someones validating our software and they’re not the license owners. That will be followed up at the appropriate time which is soon.

3. Now the current defunct computer is sitting there with a completed track which after first mastering requires a few small fixes. Those obviously will need to be done ASAP. I consider the EP is now running behind time due to the computer outages. Once that is completed , 2 weeks to be on the safe side (due to other tasks required to be done in that time also) that computer is going to be reformatted. It’s pointless having a computer sitting there than can only do 10% of the functions its required to do. It will also now be reassigned to other tasks that complement business functions. In that time an assessment of the computer will be done, the reason, it’s continually had a range of technical issues which a reformat and full install of Windows as it now stands, might resolve.

How did it get put out of action? Its actually difficult to pinpoint however a range of evidence has provided insight into the matter and it’s been considered as part of the process of restructuring operations.

I don’t want to get too technical about it all because generally the Blog is about updating readers about releases and all I can say on that currently is, I’ve got a feeling the tracks that are to follow the first are going to be more difficult to develop. They’re fairly complex songs and I started the process with the one I thought would be the easiest, it wasn’t.

I could actually go on and on because it’s been a very eventful month I finally had a moment to get a photo shoot completed and have a range of photo updates for the year.

With that said, look forward to seeing you all next month and obviously with all range of current global crises send condolences to those who are missing loved ones.

Have a great day where ever you are, what ever you’re doing and see you next month.

Lipcrack.

PS There’s also a small section from the track available. You can access it via this link on YouTube.

Finally a moment in all the weirdness bordering on unbelievable to update Lipcrack readers.
