Lipcrack spent most of the last section of the year on releasing the new track Don’t Call Me and by now we most likely should have released a few more. We ended up doing things a little different this time and currently the song is being released to new listener groups.
While they haven’t been as active as our regulars they certainly made the effort to drop into the site and get a small taste of Lipcrack and its unique sounds and that’s been important to us. It’s actually been a 100% improvement on how our mailout situation was panning out at the last hosting company and I’m continually asking myself “Why didn’t I move the site sooner?”. Fact is it actually took a while to find a host with a mailout package and to some extent I believe it involved a fair bit of luck because there are a huge amount of ISP’s out there and each one had a different mail plan. I went with a safe option and that’s what it’s been so far. I won’t go on about it other than to say in the spare moments every effort is being made to expand our listener circle.

Then of course there was my health and there still is, I had what is known as a seizure a few years ago and for some reason I just didn’t pay attention to how life and event’s going on around me were affecting me and those types of scenarios end with care workers stepping in and doing their best to aid you through life’s drama’s. For me they were totally unexpected but certainly have been taking their toll on my general health which is why I’m currently in some health therapy sessions so that the situation is managed to the best of everyone’s ability. I don’t need to go on about it other than to comment that it’s certainly taken a lot out of me in terms of overall health and drive to get everyday tasks done and I feel like I’m just at the start of a process to help me recapture that energy that’s somehow disappeared along the way. I don’t want to go on about it other than to say again my health is way out of whack compared to what it was a few months ago and I’m doing my best to get through what seems like an unsettling health period in my overall healthy life. Some of it is mental which adds a bit of a different dimension to the problem but I’ve never had a mental health problem before so it just seems to have come from out of nowhere but I gather is perhaps something that might have been building up in the background with me unaware.

So there you go! It’s not that bed of roses that we hear about..

Other than that everything else has been quite normal so I’m planning on trying to stick with the keeping it normal plan. Hope everyone’s had a great year and enjoyed their time out with Lipcrack. There will be a new release coming up soon enough in the new year and more news on that later. For now it’s the end of the year and we just know everybody’s rushing off to those Christmas parties and planning for their New Years Eve, we are as well. So have a blast keep rocking and we’ll see you all in 2025.

Lipcrack

The end of year is insight but not without a joyous Christmas break to finalize those last remnants of the year and all that’s taken place.
