A Day In The Life

Posted on January 29, 2019 By Alena

It’s 2019, can you believe it? I almost can’t because it’s been and gone so quick you’d almost have to wonder what year it really is. Probably sounds like a lot of garbage but I’ve actually been in and out of some kind of delirium which hasn’t been diagnosed, that’s a first hand view on my behalf, which is still working its way through the health sector as notes get delivered following Freedom of Information requests. And then subsequently following up with appropriate medical appointments.

Have I lost my dial? No! at the same time though, it’s never something you like to spend too much time on because life is short and realistically to keep moving, improving or doing whatever you want to do takes a fair amount of concentration and persistence. As it is, I still believe half of what is occurring on my own personal level is due to being locked in between a variety of system processes that expect something one end but are no longer prepared to support on the other without a third degree stand over meeting each fortnight which ends up wasting valuable time, it’s the same meeting week after week almost like a record stuck on repeat. And those meetings refer to looking for work. Not anything that I do in other available
time.

That’s social welfare, which among many things is money that goes towards looking for paying work. Lipcrack well that’s a continuation of work which started “Oh so long ago with my first position in an information technology company and what I did when I arrived home in the evening”. Possibly a bit of history there people might not be aware of, it was quite a time that’s for sure and that brief mention doesn’t really touch on any of the musical goings on which were occurring in my life at the same time. It was just a time when you’d give anything a go.

Fact is, I still am giving most of it a go, while considering some of the other options that get pushed as society goes about its process of developing and all I know is it certainly has not been easy. The music industry itself has so many push factors from so many different directions and areas of business, radio, press, live entertainment as just a few examples it can become quite a mess. Can you believe I’m saying all this, first blog of 2019?

What I am going to say is this, the following list is a group of songs with dates when written that I’m planning to start developing some time in February. I’m not putting an exact date on it other than ASAP and in between a range of other tasks which will include getting back in contact with social welfare, which once again, to some extent I’ve been cut off from. The reasons are ridiculous, I’m actually required to follow up with additional medical appointments but the paperwork trail and those new changes in Social Welfare payments basically no longer seem to allow you to walk into an office, explain the situation in
terms of delays and respond ASAP. You basically just get cut off regardless of any other circumstances. It’s quite shocking actually. It would also take another page of notes to inform people of all that has gone on. I’d rather not be having to mention it at all.

Here is the list of tracks I plan to develop in 2019 :

On That Bus 2001
Too Big 2000
On The Rock 2003
The Right One 2000
Everybody 2003
Oligopoly 2002

If however it just does not go to plan, doesn’t eventuate or something makes the task come to a conclusion prior to those being completed, all I will say is, the best attempt to creating a new EP were and are about to be undertaken. It really is not an easy task and I will say that over and over again for anyone who might decide on it as a profession. If a new one is completed, I will certainly be taking a break from doing it again at that time and pursue other activities including possibly more studies, part time work, or whatever becomes available or presents itself in the workplace. I can also say, it will definitely take at least one month for each track so at least six months.

I have not as yet put together a photo shoot for 2019 but that should occur within the next two weeks, that’s the current plan. For the start of this year, I’m going to add what should be considered a slightly humorous connotation, “All Is Written In Cement”, including I. My parents had some work done around the house and did give me permission to do it. I thought it was quite humorous and given the Information Age upon us, along with Iceexplosive as a character that has existed online as one of my first internet alias names added it to the home yard when some work was done recently.

Obviously depending on erosion rates and other factors, it could be around longer than me and will possibly one day be considered historic graffiti. Who knows what the next “Age” will be when it hits us?

That’s a look at 2019 with Lipcrack as it stands, there will also be another track release from State of Suppression some time this year.

Hope everyone’s year has been great so far, look forward to enjoying it with you all. Have a great day whatever you’re doing and look forward to bringing you more news on how things eventuate as the year progresses.
