Here we are in February and What’s News?
Everywhere people are making reassessments of life and liberty in relation to the political systems in which we all live together. Don’t forget we are all on Planet Earth together so those ripples that get created can certainly travel from one place to another, music is great at doing that. But as always, with everything it’s what we all do to assist each other to create better lives that gets the greatest movement and furthers us all.
So don’t forget Lipcrack like to spread some of the joys of life in preference to dwelling on the negatives which a lot of people tend to throw around. But that is about as philosophical as we plan to get this update. Sure we have a few of our own negatives along the way, we certainly keep an eye on those waves, which ones are getting bigger, which ones are getting louder and which ones are just flattening out and not even allowing for smooth sailing.
Have you ever taken a look at Lipcrack’s Youtube page, here’s a surprise small update from the first track On That Bus, the EP currently being developed. It’s only one piece of guitar work and by no means represents the track in full. It does however give people a small taste of what is to come if all things go well.
What Else Is News ?
Can you believe it? I managed to get in front of the camera for a range of photos to be included in this years blog update and I can tell you while it only takes one day to do, it really can take a lot out of you. Life can be like that as well and I’m fairly sure we are all aware of that. So what of this year’s photo session? All I can say is, to a great extent I stayed close to what is generally my favorite wardrobe, a pair of jeans and a t-shirt. Do I wear anything else? You might find something as the year unfolds in the photos. Will I ever wear anything else in a photo shoot?, most likely but I don’t actually plan on doing too many more, but that’s just generally how I’m feeling due to the fact that everything else is keeping me very busy. You might noticed I pulled out a curling wand and created a few new waves of my own that by the end of the shoot were also flattened out. Wonder if the new EP will be like that?
With that said all I can say is Lipcrack are currently using a two computer system model of enterprise, one for mail out’s which actually was going very well but we hit one of those stumps that brings everything down and to a halt. Generally it’s due to a mail out which hasn’t had a thorough clean, that’s what we are led to believe but the current hosting company has a very different policy in terms of their mailing and it’s definitely going to have further consideration at the end of the year in terms of continuing to host with them.
The other computer is being used for track development and is going well. Initially I thought there might be some problems with the updated program which is used for recording and composition of tracks. Turns out with a few checks things are now operating as smoothly as they were on the old XP machine. The old program was re-installed on that just in case something didn’t work out. Generally you would say the likelihood of the EP being completed without too many problems is good.
