A Day In The Life

Posted on May 22, 2017May 22, 2017 By Alena

So how’s everyone doing out there in the world of exploits, gains, losses, delirium and general downgrade of life unless you are on full time wage? I for one am still on a learning curve that doesn’t seem to end. So maybe the scene here is….up …up….up and away, yeah away with everyday life if we only could.

What is everyday life currently? well, when the sun’s out like it was in this months photo update, it’s not too bad. When you overcome a difficulty in life it’s even better and when the rewards flow, well it’s power pop…..For now though the scenario is, under the benchmark for making a living to survive.

I’m going to let you know a few more issues came up with mail outs. It hasn’t been determined as yet if it is a hosting, or software issue when mail outs are restarted after timed pauses. The mail quota with the company we host with hasn’t not been over sent. The answer will be determine soon. Some fairly significant tasks that were essential and time consuming required attention first.

That’s the extent of problems so realistically it’s been going quite well when mail does go out and a big thank you already for those that have made an effort to check out the track currently being promoted. All those requests for further information will be responded to and mail outs will start again very soon.

In the meantime changes were made to the code of the web site and very soon for the blog which will improve their search engine functionality. Big fact, occasionally it does need to be done because search engine coders update. Regardless of how appropriate your changes are there are times when search engines are not going to work in your favor and simply put it means search engine makers for the most part have right of way on the highway. For that reason it’s not a task that requires too much time but enough to meet coding standards.

Another task completed was moving to a web page environment that meets the standards required for working with third party business groups that promote business on the web. For example if you use an advertising agency you need to code your web page accordingly. Lipcrack will test a few of these innovations over time, it just makes sense to.

All of the above were actually some small steps forward which is a little different to how things have been going generally and Lipcrack are due to renew hosting costs this month which will be taking place. That said, we still are not on an even platform as far as Music Industry and public radio access goes which we find a little disappointing to say the least.

I think Lipcrack has actually gone through more than it’s fair share of industry abuses but they can be society abuses at the same time and pointing the figure would be like hitting a cross roads sign, which arrow do you choose first? I actually mention a lot of that gear in my Twitter account. The link to that via the Blog is sitting there waiting in the pipeline.

Quite a lot of gear is actually waiting to go in terms of functionality of the Blog. The Chat System, last time checked was fully operational but is not live. Lipcrack couldn’t be happier with it, but there’s a huge amount of on liners who are trained to make problems and do. We respond to them as quickly as possible and currently there is only one problem with it, which is a spam comment breach. Numerous attempts to stop it have not been successful.

Good news though for the time being if anyone want’s to leave a comment they can do so without signing up. That will change most likely as a number of new sign up mechanisms are being tested which will hopefully resolve the issue of all the fabricated sign up which bot’s as they are known, are capable of doing. It is impossible to determine the real from the fake so that can make mailing lists difficult to work with.

Why am I updating sign up mechanisms? Because over time the plan is to develop the Lipcrack Blog, they have a huge amount of functionality available to them these days and registered users should be able to enjoy that.

So what of Lipcrack developing more tracks? Will that happen? That is still something Lipcrack say yes to. Giving the changing policies locally it will occur when the time is right which realistically given current tasks is quite some time away.

Time is usually short for updates and it’s difficult to fill in the spaces with what is going on, sometimes it’s mainly research but it’s all done within the context of developing something that someday more and more people should enjoy.

Have a great day whatever you are doing. I’ve included a little graph below which demonstrates what it looks like when people turn out for the updates. They might look like spiky heads….but they are people…
