…..It’s that time a dosage of Lipcrack time……and it’s a small one this time.
Mail out’s to relevant agencies in radio and broadcast are taking place and things are running relatively smoothly there’s business groups that are un subscribing and there’s individuals who are subscribing.
The Internet is an odd place to do business and I’ve always made it fairly clear that I’m here to do business that of distributing and selling my tracks. The Internet is a big market and for the most part as any person knows you need to find an interested audience.
Currently people may be surprised about the “high cost” of the new track in the shop, really that is just a bit of a deterrent for people to buy while Lipcrack contact radio stations to get air play or negotiate in some form of “deal”. There has been some interest and obviously I need to get back to those people which is taking place between other tasks. Usually it takes up to a month to get through industry contact lists.
What I can tell our subscribers in the meantime, and I have mentioned……”BIG JUICY DEALS” before, I’ve been working on putting together a “Sales Promotion” for the shop. As yet I haven’t put the whole EP up for sale, I really needed to see if there would be any “Label” interest out there. As it worked out the labels list I had mysteriously disappeared and occurred at about the time I was looking at buying an update of the “Australian Music Industry Directory”. That business was sold and while I have secured more information on different sites offering different services. I haven’t moved ahead on that because I’ve been using the Internet in it’s simplest form to reach customers.
I do go on don’t I ?? This is turning into a long update when I meant to keep it short.
So here’s the Short and Sweet of it.
Currently I don’t care about label interest. If another EP comes out maybe I’ll reconsider it again then. To get another EP out by the end of the year I’d have to start working at it full time now.
Currently I have paperwork in the Federal Courts and the Administration Courts in relation to how the “Job Network Agencies” are involved in practices which are significantly detrimental. My opinion is if you say you put people in employment do it, don’t use it as a facade.
You know regulators should be regulated out of business.
So back to the Promotion, it will be about a month away at least. At that time the whole EP will be made available for sale in the shop. No you won’t be able to hear those other tracks, but I do believe I’ve mentioned that personally I think they’re they best tracks on the EP. (And I can tell you I love the one’s that have been release from it so it’s a real treat).
The promotion for those who do not buy the EP will be very close to this. It will be called something when it comes out, however for now the facts of it are this you will be able to purchase the first three tracks from the EP for $2.00.
I don’t know how long it will run for possibly till the end of the year. Then it’s back to regular prices. That I can Guarantee.
