A Day In The Life

Posted on February 3, 2016February 3, 2016 By Alena

February here already and it’s time for a Close Encounter of the Lipcrack kind. Yes, hot off the press and still sitting on our new look for the year. More next month when the track comes out (currently unknown which day). No I wasn’t sitting on the lens, it’s taken from a distance with the zoom on. I thought it was an interesting image.

Mail Out News

As it is the mail out issue and the “problem” has turned into an inquiry that’s taken months, really it shouldn’t have but is in fact one of the problems with running a business online. Don’t forget these companies have “thousands” of customers all with hosting problems not always derived from their own end. Back and forward replies via email can become costly time consuming events. Its much like building a house and someone laying the cement wrong. You don’t want to know.

That said once the mail company was contacted, initially Lipcrack were of the belief the account had been suspended, that was not the case and we actually passed our mail out probation period. To a great extent we thought we would which is why there was a fair amount of surprise when the issues came up. Currently while this hasn’t been confirmed but should be by next week it appears somehow the validating configurations which verify the domain through the various processes was deleted or possibly moved. Not realistically a “fair play” business process and by the time that was determined we were at a Department in the mail out company that maintains “their section can’t answer those questions” and it’s been referred to a different department. Don’t need to say more other than mail should be back and functioning at least by the release of the next track if not earlier.

Blog News

Currently we are being Spammed and for those of you who use WordPress you might be aware that on the web there’s groups of organizations, (who knows how they came into being and why? other than for money making processes) that create havoc.

But this is a high end type of havoc which not only takes up a fair amount of time trying to prevent but is also responsible for many of those Technology listed web sites cashing in on the stock markets. You see what these developers do is create programs that generate false hits (unlike a Lipcrack Hit) which throw analytic’s in terms of market information into some strange places. You know all those technology companies now downsizing and taking market stock losses. Well, you’ll probably find out that over half of them have these back end operators assisting them. It’s not an obvious market manipulation technique but it does seem to have a place in the world we live in today. I’m led to believe if I pay for a subscription with one company I can “Possibly” get rid of them, as yet undetermined. What is though, I have a device which informs me exactly who is doing it via IP and a domain recognition process. So I’m keeping it current.

Bad News In Relation To That.

Currently we have subscribers who are subscribers and those who are not (but could be). I did actually set up a direct mail process within the blog to send mail which was meant to be an easy process to contact some very helpful people. Subscribers still really make my day and Lipcrack Music is there for them to a great extent.

Thing is though when next months track comes out subscribers really should be the first to know. I’ve got a feeling though unless they drop in (because we don’t mail out unless it’s a track release or some kind of emergency) that there’s going to be mail problems in relation to the lists that are currently coming in via a Spam Bot. e.g. we send out a mail to blog subscribers not our business lists and get mail bounce backs due to the Spam Bot created subscriptions.

I really don’t need to mention any more about it than there could be some problems, actually getting the track online is going to be the easy part believe it or not.

 Good News
There’s a photo update for this month and a new track being released next month. I will actually be talking about the audio aspects at the release.  I noticed that compared to the other tracks this one has some spec’s that need to be considered before playing.

Now wouldn’t it be nice if my good news were as long as my bad news ?

Other than that I finally had time to go over the hospital notes in relation to that “out of know where” visit I had some months back. As it stands the blood and urine samples which were fairly important to the overall diagnosis were not provided and require another request under “Freedom of Information” although realistically they should have been in the first request it was quite specific. I have gone into the “discovery” process and documented my own findings which really isn’t something I want to go into here other than to say it’s still being looked into and there were some fairly shocking finds as far as things go. (No not in relation to some “disease” but more so in relation to clinical practices and procedures and somewhat abusive control regimes once you become admitted). That’s my own opinion. Let’s face it I’m also still caught up in a dental negligence case and getting that sorted to my current best ability.

If I wanted to say anything else for the month of February it would be…”Isn’t it great? We’ve got a new track coming out? there’s a New Year in the making and despite it all Lipcrack make some serious noise..”

Currently there are no plans to have a “Special” run though the shop because we are going to determine what’s going to happen with the Spam Robot on our case. But the release after that….there could be. Fact – this next track is off our new EP which people have made very difficult to promote and in part is why all tracks were not released. We will be contacting record labels again and some new ones.

The only other good news which is still burning holes in my brain because it’s so good….is all software (including updates) for creating the New EP about to be commenced has been installed on the new computer and it’s totally banging…I’m still really nervous about it…it’s a new working environment. The plan is to make it the best I can..

That’s it for now, have a great month …You all take care and see you soon…
