Another month passed and more of those life lessons learnt. So where were we? That’s right a reboot of the Windows 10 Computer along with some serious testing. Big fact, and this doesn’t take into consideration all the different licensing agreements of software out there, but if I ever decided to sell the sound engineering side of Lipcrack and the next week the system crashed on the potential buyer, I had to make certain that all equipment could be reinstalled with relatively few problems.
The outcome of the testing – that is all possible. The only factor that was significant from my point of view is that after rebooting 3 different times erasing data and then attempting the 4th reboot along with checking different matters, the computer went to it’s own reboot process which is different to the manufacturers and provided in the instructions, I can’t comment on that.
Regardless the system is back up and completely functional with a few added plugins which previously did not work but were kept for just such a scenario and obviously I’m very happy to be informing people that. The computer is also being kept off line for music creation tasks as previously decided. Limiting the down time on that machine, despite it currently being on a bit of a holiday is the main reason.
Good news, next month Lipcrack should have some surprising news which should be part of a process which keeps systems as accessible and valid for tasks as possible.
If you were not aware there is a YouTube page with a small selection of clips that offer a small taste of things to come, recently added, a small test of equipment after checks and the kind of sound sensations we enjoy.
I should have a banner, Lipcrack “If you can’t lick it, Listen to it and Enjoy”, which is a pun on words. People are often left puzzled at my jokes.
My Health
Obviously a very big decider in all range of matters and possible future directions of Lipcrack.
As it stands, the scans provided by MRI detailed a range of issues along with what has turned into a Rotator Cuff injury and it really hurts. For a month I was basically crippled in terms of movement of my arm. Some focused attention to the matter and research on my behalf has alleviated some of the pain caused by inflammation. There’s still some significant rehabilitation required and it’s being attended to from my end and from the medics end which is being monitored due to various levels of suspicion. Previous experiences with medic’s in Adelaide has led to that position in the matter.
I’m hoping for a full recovery which can in some instances take up to a year but has been mentioned as being up to 6 months. Obviously as soon as I can is the best outcome for me but a range of changes in various activities will be required. I obviously have to think about that. My plan to produce another EP is still central to my thinking but might actually need to be done sooner than later, mainly due to any other health issues that might arise or ongoing concerns.
Next Month
Over the next month and what seems like a task that is always at risk of getting off the ground is a return to the email promotion of Lipcracks new track Guitar Man. I don’t have to go into how many times that’s been a stop and start task but that will be the focus in spare time.
Have a Great October Everyone and see you next month.
