It’s fair to say, 2021 is still not going as expected generally for Lipcrack but that doesn’t mean it’s all bad. So how is everyone?, hopefully your are all doing okay and able to join us for this months update. Here’s the run down which it’s almost been…
1. I haven’t had time to get a photo shoot moving but it will be done in March. In the meantime though, I did get a couple of things together for people this month. The first of those is a look at Lipcrack’s current development set up. It’s an introduction to our Android. And it’s certainly being doing a great job filling in due to the XP machine crashing just under a week ago.
Why did that happen? Well once again it’s those mail out issues combined with a hosting company that has a habit of doing it’s own thing, changing configs and you finding out about it later. Checking registry issues because of it and then roll backs corrupting registries. I’m not explaining it any further than that. I’ve gone over it numerous times previously in terms of assessing who or what is ultimately responsible and generally it’s not due to anything we’ve done but does end up causing our own operations considerable down time. Currently the XP is out of action and is being assessed in terms of all matters that have come up in checking procedures. Possibly it is due for replacement but is unknown at this time. It’s not the current priority however is still important to get to in terms of procedural matters and will be known by some time next month.
2. The new EP has commenced. I’m not going to say anything about it other than tracks to be developed were reconsidered and one was changed. You have no idea how it’s going to go and I was soon wracking my brain to get the first track sound moving. I’ve put a little insert online to give people a small sample of it’s direction. It’s going okay but has had a fair few interruptions which have slowed things down a bit. Please note this is not an indication of the final sound but gives a general idea. It’s called Going Stupid. I’m hoping the format will play on most devices, final tracks are released in a variety of formats.
In the meantime what has happened? I got rolled last week. My parents had a tree cut down and the back yard soon turned into a wood yard, I’ve spent any spare time turning it back into a back yard. In the process though, shifting a very large tree piece, I basically got rolled down the hill with it and walked away very sore with some grazing. I’m okay now and back functioning but it’s all come in with a range of out of nowhere health issues from the previous year. I’ve made it through most of those and just hoping the rest of 2021 shows some sign of
improvement for me. I do have a follow up hospital appointment which they’ve classified as “not urgent” with orthopedics from the previous year arm sore issue and should be interesting to determine what will come of that. For now though all I can say is, I’m doing okay and if I take absolute care hopefully I’m still aiming to recover and have some great times ahead. Generally my health in regards to those matters has been improving but at the same time obviously recognize life has its limits.
