Hi Everyone, June has certainly been a big month for Lipcrack and here’s the news on all range of occurrences.
1. The New Computer – that’s been surprising, the short version of what’s been going on, the new tracks are in production. It’s running well and I’ve spent a fair amount of time getting it to the state of effectiveness it currently has. Sure someone else might be able to pump some more processing power out of it, but lets just say its currently running at high efficiency.
The Problems –
Additional ram was purchased to up it’s effectiveness and out of all the problems that could go wrong, I’m obviously completely surprised by the one that follows. It couldn’t be installed due to how the screws have been tightened on the back of it. It was taken into a mobile technology store and they couldn’t open with an electronic device for similar matters. Following that, as of yesterday I’ve had my first issues come up in terms of following up with the warranty on such matters and any type of “assistance” that might be provided in regards to the matter. Currently the computer manufacturer is out to lunch and I’m not impressed. I did actually have time to question about four points on the computer in terms of it’s abilities, the initial representative has not been able to respond to any of those. Again, what would you think ? And as it stands there’s going to be what seems unnecessary delays in terms of following up in regards to such matters.
2. Some new recording equipment was purchased which includes microphone technology, currently that’s all working well. There were also some software upgrades in regards to that it’s fairly high end technology and currently things are working well at a base level. When there’s some free time to look into improving some of the functionality it will be done however at this stage probably won’t be necessary for this EP. Most of these purchases have occurred at sales times to minimise outlays while improving overall functionality for the long run.
3. Job Vacancies have been extended and expanded to allow for international input. Basically if a graphic artist wanted to help contribute to the overall presentation and development of the Lipcrack site we’d be interested in hearing from them which applies to all positions on offer. Realistically its still being tested in the Internet Environment and its an interesting environment to interact with site visitors. We actually look forward to doing more of it.
4. Believe it or not we do actually have some site upgrades that enable more direct interaction with site visitors but the issue of getting site programming functions working while at the same time trying to complete a new EP do not really sit well together when one person is doing it all, thus see point 3 above. Otherwise just wait till the EP is completed which I’m fairly sure it will be unless I get hit by a car or some other such matter which isn’t the plan but who knows? They will then be implemented into the site. As it is we have had a fair few visitors checking out the Forum and most likely a link from the front page will be made available for that some time soon as well.
5. Quick note, all old blog links to tracks have been updated to go to the catalogue page with the music player rather than to the old link page with the song release on it.
REALLY GREAT NEWS
Everyone loves a sale right?, including me. Recently one came up with 2 companies who’s products I already use and love. (Is it possible to love a software product?) Anyway, it’s in the field of video production and a purchase was made. Both products have been installed on computers and all I can say is, I’m really looking forward to having some time after the EP is completed to start reading some manuals. Obviously you can get some drag and drop gear but these are fairly high end equipment. The current plan, because I’m aware of how much capacity is required to really get these things to function, is possibly moving into the area of small development “infomercials”. Thing is there’s only so much time in one life so it’s currently just a plan.

There’s a new photo update – The news in brief on this, people might remember I was not feeling too well when this photo session took place at the beginning of the year and personally I think it might be one of the worst photos shoots I’ve ever taken. I’ve never actually been that “be in front of the camera 24/7” aligned which is totally ridiculous if you consider I wanted to be an actress at one stage in my life. I think I’ve created room for the personal selling required via the creation of Lipcrack which has allowed me to explore music and the styles and genres I enjoyed as a part of growing up. Regardless, some of the lighting on these images really didn’t come out as expected so a few of them I’ve finally utilized some of the editing capabilities of the software that came with the camera. It’s an Olympus and I love it, bought it so long ago it’s ridiculous and still use it today. You might notice in the following releases a couple with some colour brightening and similar things. I thought I’d mention it because elsewhere you might see legal disclaimers “these images have been enhanced or changed to rectify faults, highlight or enhance perception”.
News On My Health
That has again improved and I’m seriously hoping for a full recovery I’d currently say I’m about .5% off my health level before I was taken out of action last year. It’s been a very slow process, I could talk about it considerably because it was so unusual and the process of recovery just as complex. But I’m not going to, it’s just letting people know, things seem okay and I’m still actively working towards maintaining and if possible improving it again.
