2023 is well underway and Lipcrack have been very busy.
I’m going to provide you with a look at one scenario Lipcrack had to work their way through over the last month. I wanted to send out a link in an email to a small survey for our regular mail out lists to get some feedback in regards to how they feel about their experiences when they visit the site and listen to the tracks along with other general music listener related feedback. Developed one after testing a product and thought “Great!”.
Then the problem presented itself, even though it’s built and accessed via a web page on the internet, you can’t access it or participate in it unless you subscribe and log into the blog. Now I’m going to provide a further bit of information here because the pages the tracks are accessed on were develop by me so you can access them and listen when ever you want. The blog however is a different technology and here’s a small scenario. If I only used the blog to provide access to the tracks, people wouldn’t even hear them unless they were a subscriber.
Obviously that has some benefits in some situations but if you’ve used the internet to promote your music due to those same “can’t do this issues” with radio stations, music show programs, live gigs the list goes on you soon understand that like any business development matter it all requires very serious consideration.
Subscribers can access the survey here. No personal information that can identify your response is collected and it is completely anonymous.

Now that actually brings us to the second major news update for this month. July of this year, Google who supply the technology for background site visitor checks in simplistic form are overhauling their business systems. Lipcrack were notified and this month time was dedicated to the process of making sure that all code links that are required to keep it functioning at best capacity were upgraded and worked on the new system while the present one runs in the background. It did require installing a new application and similar to say a Windows Vista upgrade to Windows 11, you have to learn it so you know your way around it.
As far as continuing to reach new audiences the good news is that February will once again see Lipcrack dedicated to that process. Simply put, “We are ready to Rock the Web”.
With all that in mind, I’ll say it again, “its very important to subscribe”. Only subscribers have the opportunity to have their say, site visitors do not. We are considering a plan to implement a log in via your preferred social media organization function which may provide the ability for participation however it requires testing and we will get to that soon enough and let blog readers know the outcome.
And finally to bring in 2023 it was time for a photo session update and Lipcrack are running on time this year. I will let people know some interesting details in regards to it next month but for now, you have access to the details of a movie I saw as a child growing up and it was one that I’ve remembered my whole life, it had a very big impact on me at some level.
You can also catch the shorts of it here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZiMir9miDCY
Look forward to seeing you all next month with more news.
