A Day In The Life

Hello Everyone, it’s 2016 and time for a Lipcrack Update.

Obviously many of you have made it into what’s really started out as a dismal year if you read news papers. Markets are crashing artists are dying and most of us are going to end up in similar scenarios one day. Possibly not how Lipcrack want to start 2016 so let’s just say, “Wow it’s great you’re all here with us for what should be an interesting year”.

So What’s Been Cooked and what’s Cooking for 2016 ?

Web sit hosting checks have been concluded in relation to issues that came up with new mail outs late last year. While various small changes have recently been made to the site hosting configurations there was no evidence that mail out issues came from the site hosting or it’s configurations for hosting.

The remaining checks will be run on the program for mail outs, the third party mail company that mail goes through and some final checks with the ISP that is utilized for access to the Internet. That should be finalized soon. In the meantime the plan has always been to release another EP.

Last year I purchased a new computer for the task. Remember we had good news ?, some may recall that one of the computers used for managing Lipcrack died a sudden death. Well, the new computer disappeared in the mail believe it or not some time in November. The following one, (because I had insurance) arrived in January so it’s been a late start to preparations but is still running reasonably on time. (As will the new MP3 set for release this year – you didn’t think I’d forget did you?). More on that next month.

I can tell you right now though I have no idea how things will go with the new EP. Putting music to lyrics and not the other way around is not how the majority of bands work. Personally I don’t believe there is an easy way to create a good EP. I’m sitting here
with what feels like a bullet hole through my chest. Yes, waiting to start breathing again so that once the first vocal take is complete I can focus on the process of writing good music and come out of it raising some rooftops.

As yet I haven’t had a chance to hop in front of the camera for updates this year but that isn’t long off and I’m looking forward to it. It’s always a good break from routine I can tell you that. In the meantime here’s one of the local visitors that I always enjoy pulling the camera out for.

Blog sign up’s are way out of control and it appears as though someone has gone all out to create some site havoc in relation to that, yes Blog Robots! I know that when you hit the big time what’s occurring is just part of the “process” but I really don’t think we’ve hit the big time (despite the current 4000+ sign ups) although we still believe radio stations should be playing  our tracks. Maybe you could think of some reasons why they wouldn’t be and help us rectify that problem.

Lipcrack plan on making the most of 2016 and as a part of that making it enjoyable for our fans. All I can add to this update to ease us into that process is a list of tracks that have been confirmed for the new EP. (Subject to change if there’s a really big reason too).
