A Day In The Life

Posted on August 30, 2018 By Alena

August is over and it has been a very difficult month to get through generally. Once again we had some very odd data results with checking mechanisms. These have improved with time so are very reliable. Emails went back and forward, results would change and at times no one would commit to commenting. However, by the end of what without a doubt has been some of the most comprehensive testing ever done on working operations over three weeks, things have settled down to a focus on promotions again rather than checking that it’s all working without configuration errors which really can cause problems. While we have a fairly significant part to play in some of that, we’re not responsible for all of it.

I’ll give you one example of something which came as a big surprise in those checks, the Lipcrack site was no longer considered “Search Engine Friendly” by certain browsers. How’s that? you might ask, all coding is in place, the sites registered, you name it, anything that can be done had been. All I will say is, just be aware, regardless of how you play by the rules, doesn’t mean the other sides going to unless you spot it and respond to it. We still consider some of our suspicions regarding “Foul Play” are still well substantiated.

What is New’s Though?

In between all the going’s on Lipcrack are always having to assess things, market demand, staying afloat in current economic conditions, business direction, system improvements it’s a never-ending task list. The interesting outcome in regards to that taking place was the realization that Lipcrack currently doesn’t have a Mission Statement.

Would you like to know how I discovered this? I went to write up a list of job vacancies currently at Lipcrack and I was hit with this question “How Do I Explain to People What I’m Looking For” if for the most part Lipcrack is stored in my brain and on a computer. You know one company might say, “Well, we’re looking for computer nerds” and that might be appropriate in some cases, that’s not quite what Lipcrack are looking for.

Then you might ask? How can you afford to take on staff?, well that’s another scenario that is currently in planning and going into the Mission Statement. It includes some of the ways and steps any business in the planning stages would go about developing it’s growth strategies.

Why is this Mission Statement so important?. As I’ve discovered since starting the first draft, if you have a plan and can stick to it, while possibly changing it as required with time it gives you a better framework and direction a goal so to speak to work towards. Now possibly some of you were taught that in Business School, I wasn’t, we were taught how to run a business, not build one, it’s a very different task.

For example, this blog shares some of our experiences along the way and lets people know when new tracks are available. But it is considered part of the business and is a very important part of how people can subscribe to Lipcrack and experience that journey with us.

Now those job vacancies, by the next blog update there will be a small range of positions available at Lipcrack, for the most part, they exist but are hypothetical. We’d like to gauge some response from the wider community before any further developments other than track creation occur. I will mention now that most of what does go on at the Lipcrack site can go private and only be available to subscribers and I’m beginning to consider that as part of our overall plan in terms of how we deliver to the wider Internet community. Obviously, we want general access but for those that take a more active roll in what we do, there’s going to be more available to them it’s as simple as that. I can’t say when that will occur however it is being considered.

Wow! This blog update is already too long. Why is it taking so long for everything else to occur?, for starters this month was also spent on a range of outstanding government paperwork, most of it would be considered legal and is departmental in terms of accessing services which generally you’d think wouldn’t be a problem, the reality, slightly different, Don’t even want to go into it!

The Only Really Great News!

Lipcrack has started preparing web pages and site updates for a track release sometime soon. I’m not saying when other than, release time you’ll know. In the meantime, I’ll be putting a couple more of those “Mission Statements” down on paper. Generally, though I believe Lipcrack, as it exists online, represents the “image or feel”, we’re striving for in our day to day operations. In fact, as part of this process it really hit me, how everything that’s gone out there has been suitable and in fact why I’ve maintained that we might even rotate through past site intro’s (despite there’s more planned), because they’ve always represented Lipcrack how we’ve wanted it. That’s actually been a bit of a “realization dawning experience” because for the most part we are actually under the influence of many other business groups in society and sometimes its hard to make your own space and that occurs across society on many levels. Sometimes you fit in with things, sometimes you don’t. But as far as we are concerned that’s okay. For a lot, it’s not and sometimes for us it’s not either. Lipcrack are just more actively aware of this and a great deal of that has occurred through information sharing not just what you learn in school. Remember “information sharing” was the grassroots of the internet industry as it stands now.

So I hope a people can see where I’m coming from with this update in terms of some of the realizations you come to in the process of not only building a band that reaches a greater audience but as a learning process which is just as much a part of it all as the process of making the music.

Important Progressions

Testing testing testing… it’s what they usually say on the microphone before a concert. Well testing testing testing… over the last month, Lipcrack have tested a range of business software applications, “not the typical ones everyone runs with”, those we found via our own research methodologies and which proved to be compatible with our systems in place. Once again, I’m happy to say, should we move to any expansion activities which require recording, implementation procedures and time schedules that take planning to the next level, we are ready to Rock and Roll so to speak. It won’t just be in my head it will be there for collaborators to work with. There’s also a couple of Investment networking opportunities available abroad and we are considering
those.

Give it a couple of weeks and we should have those job opportunities up in the Job listing section of the blog. Have a Great Day where ever you are, whatever you’re doing and we will see you next month..

PS I’m hoping now that we’ve put the plans down in terms of what is going on in the background you won’t need to know any further on that. When significant progress is made we’ll let you know. Site visitors know who they are and as always were happy they’ve taken time to get to know us and continue to support us either actively or by purchasing our tracks, listening is great but money helps us deliver.
