Finally Lipcrack’s new track release, Sell Out is here!
Don’t ask me why it takes so long for a new track update, I couldn’t say other than to let people know that promoting music over the Internet is a very different task to hearing a track released on a radio station. Fact, one of the first groups of organizations we do inform of a release besides subscribers are radio stations. If they’re not informing you and not playing Lipcrack, maybe you’d like to ask them, why not? If there’s some ethical answer I’m once again sure they’ll let you know. If they don’t well, for simplicity’s sake, just consider, “That’s how they run their Business”….
Sure I mention this every time we do release a track, or so it seems, most likely I won’t next one, if there is a next one. Does that give you a better idea as to why bands go into and out of business quicker than most developing businesses?, again be warned, these day’s it makes a good side hobby but that’s about it.
Wow, that sounds so depressing….., well thankfully the new track is not, but the title, in a subtle way conveys a little of the details found in the first paragraph, Sell Out! . And other than just seemed to fit with the style of the track which I generally describe as a punk/rock song but wouldn’t say it is for sure. Why it could be considered one is the somewhat up tempo sound combined with lyrics that tend to favor the more risque side of life and not that conservative in it’s message or delivery.
I’m going to briefly mention this about Lipcrack tracks, when I started writing lyrics many of them tended to come with a tune in my head. Every song writer has their own method and I couldn’t even begin to tell you how you can/should or shouldn’t create a song for an audience, I just knew that if I could get this one to come together as a track it would be a lot of fun. And I consider it that. There’s a lot of people out there trying to control people’s lives, what they do, how they enjoy themselves and this song was put together so people could enjoy themselves…. Whatever they were doing.
That’s about all I’m going to say about it for now, I’m hoping everyone who turns out, visits the site or does any other such task to celebrate it’s release enjoys it. Purchasing a copy is a great way to help out and we appreciate that support. There’s a lot to do in terms of mail outs and for now given that we are with a new hosting company, its wait and see how everything goes. We are aware of a whole new range of issues that presented themselves as a part of the terms and conditions with the new host. At this stage all I can say is, “Well, it happens with all of them, and racing to find a new one isn’t going to help at this time”. Again, we just have to respond as matters present themselves and thankfully have a couple of back up plans regardless, You Need Them!.
Other good news ! After months and months of considering this, considering that, checking things out and finally taking action, Lipcrack have a new look shop for purchases. All I can say is, it’s has an odd twist which generally goes with some of the Lipcrack oddities.
