It’s been a long November with all range of behind the scenes checks, updates and testing. Oddly enough after the recent update to the new messaging platform the site was inundated by all range of spam bots and other such mechanisms that caused unneeded mail and resulted in spam type accusations again despite the fact we were not even sending any mail so the big task was to put that to a halt as quickly as possible and was achieved with success.

As you can see from the diagram above there’s a lot going on that site visitors are unaware of and most of it are items generated to interfere with normal processes and I can tell you there’s not one web site that doesn’t have these problems and each website owner has to implement their own solution to these problems. It’s much like the police force for the most part they are there to solve problems. I probably have mentioned this before not only does our hosting service have one of the most secure platforms I’ve worked on, I’ve also implemented what would be considered high end monitoring so that issues can be found and resolved ASAP.
So the good news is, the messaging service is now running well and mail can continue. That will happen very soon. There’s one planned update that is in testing stage with a high likelihood of being implemented and I’m going to get moving on that AQAP (as quickly as possible). Initial tests went well but subsequent checks after updates is where it was put back to testing stage. If it goes ahead, mail outs will resume then. Otherwise they will continue after testing is completed.
Personal accounts for the tax year were completed and that’s an important part of keeping the site up and running. The last couple of years have had high inflation and applications needed to run things are included in those costs and monitoring them. All I can say is, things are still going well but one of the first renew this software programs has been dropped from purchases. It just was not used enough to make it necessary.
Future plans and updates for the following year are underway and the focus really is on developing the musical associations and applications of the site for site subscribers and finding new subscribers. Those details are going to be released in the messaging service stream for subscribers only as they occur.
A site Captcha has been installed on the subscriber page and this is a security procedure to ensure that fake sign ups are halted at the door.
That’s it for now, Christmas and holidays are just around the corner so everyone keep it safe and look forward to some new interesting developments coming to the site soon.
