So finally an update a littler earlier than the end of the month.
The good news, mail outs are now ready to re continue and there’s been a small number of additions made to the order of events on the terms and conditions page. That can be viewed here, https://www.lipcrack.com/legal.htm
In short it lets people know the Forum had been removed and a new subscriber page added to the main website page along with an additional unsubscribe page on the blog. Generally that doesn’t seem to be any great change from previous but it’s quite significant in terms of a range of legal matters that have been addressed.
The subscriber section has been updated and now provides a gateway to Lipcrack’s new Messaging Service which enables people to invite friends to the service for private messaging much like a text messaging service. It has a host of different features like photo and video updates which can be directed to the wider community or just private friends. And if you don’t like what you’re seeing a “ban” function is available. It also functions as a news feed for personal profiles. You can update your personal pages to reflect your own persona and it’s currently detailed as Digital Networking as it applies to digital things from computers to phones.
Now one thing I will need to bring to people’s attention is the use of the dark theme, people possibly are wondering why this applies and it’s fairly obvious to me but maybe not be for everyone else. Basically if you work on a computer all day, screen glare becomes an issue and for a while now, I’ve gone to using dark themes to minimise glare effect. It’s like putting on a pair of sunglasses when you go out on a sunny day, it’s protective wear for the eyes and I do actually use it, so it makes sense.
For those of you that like a little more information in regard to how the messaging service works and what it is, you can see some of the public updates here, there’s also the ability to share posts with select services , https://www.lipcrack.com/blog/activity/
Current public posts are to provide people with a look at some of the functions although generally the service itself is private for subscribers unless they notify friends and release public posts which can be done for the whole community or just selective friends or the public. Its an enjoyable platform to use and we already have some text friendly people onboard.
And that’s about it for this month, I doubt there will be many changes for a while despite the fact we’ve got a store of them ready and in process but we want people to get a feel for what is already available.
Have a great month and see you all next month.
Lipcrack
P.S It’s my birthday tomorrow so this photo update is a double header. 😊
