A Day In The Life

Posted on May 27, 2024June 12, 2024 By Alena

May has just about finished and all I can say from this side of the computer interface, for Lipcrack its been like a lot of background noise without any clear picture.  As mentioned some two months ago, Lipcrack went into maintenance mode due to a range of local issues that have invariably led to the most non-productive time we’ve ever experienced in terms of music production and as publicity agents for those who appreciate music. That doesn’t mean things are slowing down, it’s just a brief update to inform people that there are currently a number of organisations making it quite difficult to achieve any form of growth and if you asked  anyone locally how they were doing, most likely you would get a similar response.

I don’t need to go into a long and lengthy look at the current economic conditions in South Australia, while there are business groups doing well, the over all inflationary pressures on everyday living are taking their toll. And from Lipcrack’s own personal perspective, from individuals to business groups along with bureaucratic processes we seem to be in a position of stagflation or non productive growth. In actual fact for the last two months we’ve had limited access to our business processes to perform them effectively. We’re not painting ourselves into a corner here, and in actual fact we got more active with street promotions and those who had their first taste of what’s around the corner might already put themselves on the “We Want More” list. It wouldn’t be any different to how everyone else is operating in this period of economic rationalisation.

So where does that leave us, I can’t really say at this time. I’m well aware that the Blog and it’s processes have had issues which eventuated with multi-use integration. While we took on the enterprise as a test application, it didn’t take long to determine, we were getting hit on for additional updates requiring technical purchase payouts to keep it a working environment without flaws. The decision has been to just let it sit there until we can do something about it. Can we be bothered?  Would you be? While I am interested its just one of those things you can’t race and needs to be done at an appropriate time. So that actually is all I can inform site visitors in regards to these matters. Regardless of what is going on behind the scenes, all I cay say at this time is, look forward to catching up with people next month for a blog update which does work.

P.S. While it might not be appropriate for Lipcrack’s updates, I would like to respectfully inform my readers that my Grandmother, Nan as she was know to me, passed on April 29th and her service was held on May 15th, in actual fact the same day as my father’s funeral the previous year, so it was certainly a surprising month.
