Who’s looking for some good news?
Well I’ve got some despite the fact any site visitors might have thought differently due to this Android.

No the site wasn’t held up due to non-account paying but an alleged Dos Attack, which while the data tends to look like it was as usual with these online accounts sometimes there’s more actually going on behind the front end of the page than anyone realizes and if you don’t keep a track of it, very soon you end up on different servers in a different space – for us it was Cloudflare. The site was successfully updated to it with protest from our end due to the fact we’d just finished fine tuning everything from our end to keep more than insightful records of site management so that we can raise support tickets when we know something is wrong. Lets face it, Lipcrack usually only contact support when there’s a problem. Oddly enough the data attack seems to have come from Google but they’ll probably deny that as well. Fact is it would take all day just to report on the problems that somehow came up swapping back to the original service without another unwanted platform seemingly coming in and taking control of the site. Would it?, and will it be better than what is already in place? Who knows? Some time was spent having a quick look at the potential upgrade and at this stage it really did not seem necessary and didn’t add any benefit which is my opinion for now. Am I going to have to do it because of the alleged Dos Attacks. Well in actual fact the blog was already set up to deal with those types of problems and Lipcrack were in the process of working out why that kind of data was not matching up. For some reason it has continually looked like there were two platforms running with some kind of back end system that would swap from one to the other and that was being checked. I’m not saying it has occurred but for some reason looks like what is occurring. And when it was recently discovered that one of the missing table files in the MySQL database ” _icwp_wpsf_sessions’ doesn’t exist”, it was surprising to find that actually relates to a monitor on all logs when accessing the blog – which generally you wouldn’t be wrong in thinking, “well the only reason that would go missing is if someone was trying to hide that data”. Am I right or is it because another program now manages it, difficult to say because of some unknown blog problem which is what a lot of time goes into in terms of keeping it at 99% running efficiency. Any current problems tend to be app specific.
So Big Fact – Blogs can actually be more of a problem than they’re worth. Do you want some proof on that? and something that has continued to annoy me despite the fact, I don’t mind using them if they operate with no issues. Here’s a response from technical support and they continually keep inferring that I need to get web development help.

It really annoys me to say the least. Next take a look at the two images following. See the first one – that’s web content developed by me.

The second, that’s Blog development by Blog developers. You know which score I like best, mine!! If I say something is up, it’s because I’m more than 90% sure something is up, otherwise I wouldn’t bother saying it. Does that mean the blog is a dead end street? No, it means be prepared for a lot of unnecessary hassle time which will and does interfere with productive time.

Now you want some Good News?
Lipcrack did actually get productive over the last month. I’m going to briefly let people know what went on.
1. Musical development systems were updated across all computers and all are capable of independently producing music. The interesting point in all of this though is that from 2016 onwards until now, that platform has not worked with updated versions of windows. I actually updated in 2021 and had to revert back to using the 2016 addition to develop the last EP if I recall correctly. I doubt they’d want you know that. Thing is, the 2024 update recently tested and purchased has been able to handle the majority of tasks with no problems. Seriously if you can get anything running with 95% efficiency these days you seem to be doing well. I was happy about that but it’s only running on one computer, the rest use an older version but with updated sound equipment and in actual fact work just as well as the one I am working on. The reason I prefer this machine is because it was upgraded to have a higher capacity to run a host of different functions other than music production.
2. I ended up having to do some serious computer searches for the last produced EP because despite being 100% sure that I’d made a backup copy on an external disc, it wasn’t able to be located and further disc searches were required on older backups. Now while I do have a copy of the file’s sitting here, I’m going to have to run them through one last production mix because the volume levels were all over the place on each track. That’s going to be done in the next few days.
Following that, code will be updated for hosting the tracks on the site as they are release.
3. I’ve bought a midi keyboard which is going to be tested with the computer for track development and recording. There’s no guarantee it will work because a lot of that gear is specifically paired with particular software and recording platforms but it will be tested and can be used as an independent keyboard in live sessions.
And that’s about it for now. While generally the tasks that Lipcrack set out to achieve can be done, there’s way too much interference across the board in all range of processes which obviously isn’t anything to get over excited about. The fact that Lipcrack should have a new track coming out next month at the latest, is something we are pleased to be letting people know.
Regards
Lipcrack
PS. And briefly mentioned that missing “My Account” tab which corresponds with shopping purchases was located and reset, obviously that was quite serious and was found during other checks.
