A Day In The Life

November Happenings.

This month has been another busy month for Lipcrack. And all I can say in regards to this is “I’m so glad this month is over”. The track was completed with the final mix down occurring on November 26th. It took a lot of regular task changes to cram everything in so that it was completed according to the current time allocation which is a month for each track.  The usual quality of the songs was not compromised but could have easily been given all range of competing time matters.

As a result of considering this I’ve decided that the final track, currently undecided at this time, will probably run over time in terms of production time allocated. I believe in terms of keeping all current commitments up to date and running as required some time mid January the EP tracks should be completed. That’s not guaranteed but should be a very close estimation. I really do not want the last track to be compromised due to a time limit set on the finish date.

Now why is that important you might be asking yourselves?, well here’s a little information you might not be aware of. If I was on a recording contract and those can be filled with all types of legalities that you might not even register when signing one. Fact is, some record companies start charging you if its not completed on time or impose some other kind of penalty. Basically what I’ve done in the process of creating the tracks is treat it as though it is a recording contract. And at this point in time, very close to the completion of it, for my own good and Lipcrack customers have decided “Give yourself the time to complete it as you would like it”, basically not rushed so that it’s completed to a quality standard.

Am I so glad I was able to say that!

What of the rest of the month?

Believe it or not, tax paperwork was completed end of October and submitted so that any tax penalties were not imposed. In the process it was determined Lipcrack probably need to update our accounting system software and that was looked into with 2 viable options sitting there waiting for some time to determine which one is going to be best for any future endeavors.

Hope everyone else had at least a reasonable November, it was actually a fairly tough one for us to get through and look forward to catching up with you all in December with any further news in regards to the songs in production.

Here’s a little snippet from the track, take care and see you all soon.

PS I’ve included a second photo of the same image, one black and white, one color it provides an example of how different things can seem even though the same. I’ll also be deleting this photo next blog update so if anyone would like a copy please make sure to save it right away.
