I know it’s been a long time coming but welcome to 2022 with Lipcrack.
Good news, the last track of the EP was finished on the 30th of December and I can only say that since that time I’ve felt a refreshing mental freedom. It took over seven months to create and I can tell you having to effectively write music that accompanies lyrics all without infringing other musical works is no easy task.
When you release a track in the marketplace, you find out relatively quickly if your tracks infringe copyright, either lyrics or musically fairly quickly via legal process in most cases. So to put it simply, you really have to make sure its original and creativity is mentally draining.
Now some of you are more than likely saying, “When are we going to hear it?”. Now this might seem like an odd response but the facts relating to the release of Lipcrack tracks remain, there’s been all types of delays out of our control including a desktop platform that played up requiring additional purchases and mailing issues that led to a halt on promotions. None of those were caused by Lipcrack.
Early this month the task of reassessing mail outs commenced. This lead to a couple of weeks testing a LARGE range of products. All I want to say at this stage is some of the software created specifically for these types of tasks have come a long way and for the most part it was an interesting task to complete. We are changing our platform and over time people on our mailing lists will find out more news.
Now About The Tracks – Obviously Lipcrack are excited about a new release reaching wider audiences however as a part of that process we begin by reaching out to media outlets along with a range of music industry related business’s. And back to the facts again, it takes a while for all that gear to come together, with things like web page coding updates, link checks and the processes that really are as time intensive as track production. All I can say for now, is there will be more information next month along with some interesting updates.
The Important News – Currently the plans being considered for updates include a subscribers only access to tracks and prices will be increasing so I can only say if you would like to own your own personal copy of Lipcrack Tracks at the current price, you really need to get moving quickly. While all efforts to provide access to a listening page will remain site changes are in the wind. The Good news in regards to all that is the plan to update the Forum will include a subscriber section for audience participation in terms of the future of all range of Lipcrack matters. It’s a great opportunity for our listeners and fan’s to let us know what they want.
