Ready for a new Lipcrack track release?
I know it was only mentioned briefly last month and some of you may have missed it. Actual fact, I was hoping some of you did so that I could spend a little more time on current tasks – getting some complementary visuals working with the track. While I know there’s suitable programs out there, they tend to be high end learning so it can’t be done as quickly as I would have liked. And while I did find a couple of suitable quick and easy programs, I would not have made the October release date with quality testing, so the decision was forget the visuals although you can catch a few in the shop update to get a feel of where Lipcrack were heading with it. That said I doubt I’ll mention a release date on anymore tracks until they are actually online.

I’m also going to quickly mention and remind, that there’s some video production software sitting in the background and astounding fact, I still have not had a moment spare to get back to where I was last time I attempted the task. Good news though, I still have my notes so it’s not going to take as long to get back into, once I find that time. And that again brings me to the point of being a solo artist/band without a record deal and high end publicity. Those things really are quite essential to making a living in the music world. It can be quite difficult to find an audience without promotion and obviously when you are doing all the tasks yourself, recording, writing, promotion, computer installs/re installs, problem solving it can really be draining. Add producing a video on top of that and you can get a picture of why music artist have record labels that provide those services in “the deal”.
Now that I’ve mentioned that, without the intention of doing so it seems a really appropriate time to introduce you to Lipcrack’s new track – Rock Bottom. It possibly will give you a musical understanding of what all the above can feel like despite it actually being written for different circumstances over a decade ago it seems. The music was created quite recently, not the lyrics. I’d actually have to go through a range of paperwork to find the actual date. But I do have it in a folder somewhere and will get to it some time, it’s not a priority. It would only become one if there were a copy write issue which is obviously another important matter that aspiring artists need to consider.

Warning – Sound Check : I recommend that you start with this track on about 30% volume and go from there because it might be a little loud for whatever device you use, obviously I recommend with headphones because they clearly reproduce tones and levels usually.
